If there is a geek God, sometimes He is good to us.
In a very, very welcome bit of comic movie news, Bryan Singer might be making a return to X-Men, a franchise he left to take over directing duties of the Superman film.
Sadly, Singer will NOT be directing the tentatively titled X-Men 4, though the studio has actually asked him to direct it (they have a lot of faith in Brett Ratner, eh?) because of commitments and conflicts with the future Superman sequel. However, Singer is apparently very interested in directing the upcoming Wolverine spin-off movie, having read the script.
Singer was the one who originally cast Hugh Jackman in the role of Wolverine in X-Men. Word is that Singer and Jackman are good friends, so it’s not as surprising then to learn he is interested in the first Wolvie based movie. Keep your claws crossed, fanboys.
