WWE.com has reported that former World Heavyweight Champion “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has been hospitalized, with what was originally thought to be kidney stones or a bowel issue, but ended up requiring surgery for a disc problem. This is why he didn’t participate in the title match on Monday, and according to Dave Meltzer (just confirmed by WWE.com), he will be replaced on the Legends Team facing the Spirit Squad at Survivor Series.
