TV Babies: Prison Break, Episode 2-12

Shows

I enjoy Prison Break. I really do. Like Fox’s other thrill-a-minute 24, it’s at it’s best when you have no idea what’s coming next – and you can’t believe the hour’s over already. What both don’t always do so well: playing the emotional card.

If the writers really wanted a lump in our throats with the death of Michael and Lincoln’s father, they needed to give us more time to get to know him in the first place. I sometimes even feel a certain disconncet with Michael and Lincoln: this time at their father’s quickly put-together grave (Sucre and Michael seemed closer). Bottom line: they dropped the ball on this one…

C-Note and family share a very nice moment at an empty camp sight – as he reads his daughter a book. Stress moment. Just as when we last left the family on the run, the question hanging over their heads (with exclamation marks): what now? Well, how ’bout Mrs. C-Note heading to jail after trying to buy medicine for their daughter. Hate to be nit-picky, but didn’t the police think it might be worth it to check out the other four vehicles in the pharmacy parking lot?

The worst day might belong to Bellick, who had one foot out the door last episode. But he had to sneak a peak at Geary’s body. Next thing you know, he’s lead right into confessing to Geary’s grisly murder by a sly local detective (with a little “help” from T-Bag, of course). Didn’t see that coming…

Last but least, Sara escapes from Kellerman after he couldn’t “put her in the ground” as Mr. Kim instructed. Glad that Sara escaped with the key. Not glad where I think this is going. I will not root for Kellerman.

One more episode to go before the holiday hiatus! How will Michael and Lincoln shake Mahone this time? Where does T-Bag go from here? And please tell me Sucre’s all right…
