Aitutonga
Once again, we get one of those “We couldn’t/didn’t want to come up with a new name so we smushed our previous tribe names together. Let’s get pissed.” tribe names. You know, they could’ve used Puka and Hiki. For all I know, that could be a bad word in Cook Islands Maori. But I digress.

9. Nathan “Nate” Gonzalez (Aitutonga) [7] – The only reason you’re gone is because Jonathan didn’t trust you. Make of that what you will.

8. Candice Woodcock (Aitutonga) [4] – The Pro Football Prospectus notes that prior to this season, LaDanian Tomlinson had “yet to be the best back in the the NFL in any one specific season. But he’s so consistently excellent that it’s hard to say that he is anything but the best back in the NFL today.” I think of this quote when I think of Candice, because she’s the exact opposite in terms of Survivor. I can’t say that she’s the worst player on Any Given Thursday, but she’s been consistently bad and that will probably make her the worst player overall when all is said and done.

7. Adam Gentry (Aitutonga) [5] – Don’t try to have a “Showmance” on Survivor unless your name is Rob Mariano (who apparently has been cast for yet another reality series), and it’s your second kick at the can.

6. Jonathan Penner (Aitutonga) [9] – Jonathan’s obviously in a catch 22 situation, but he weighed the options and decided that going with Aito was his best chance of getting further in the game.

5. Parvati Shallow (Aitutonga) WORST PLAYER [2] – Really, this could’ve been a shared award with the rest of Raro, but because you talked about how Yul was smart in confessionals and summarily dismissed even the possibility of his possessing the Immunity Compass later, I have to give this to you. However, you rank higher than Jonathan because you’re a challenge threat plus I can’t discount the power of your being a flirt.

4. Sundra Oakley (Aitutonga) [8] – With your alliance in clear control of the game, you move up. But things have a way of turning on you quickly, so stay on alert.

3. Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth (Aitutonga) [6] – The first individual challenge did absolutely nothing to allay people’s fears that you’d be a challenge monster. I think that if we were to line up all the top challenge castaways from the 13 seasons of Survivor, you and Lex would be looked at as the least likely ones, based on physical appearance. Good on you, but be aware that the first time you fail to get immunity may be your last time in the game.

2. Rebekah “Becky” Lee (Aitutonga) [3] – Becky has been the silent partner in her alliance with Yul. We haven’t seen if she’s got a backup plan, yet I’ve still got her in second.

1. Yul Kwon (Aitutonga) BEST PLAYER [N/C] – There were two plays you could’ve made (Jonathan or Nate), and for whatever reason (it’s probably on the Survivor Insider) you chose to bring in Jonathan. Now it’s likely that you will try to keep Jonathan in the game as long as possible, but will your allies go along with the plan?

That’s all for this week. Come back to Reality Dish at around 3pm for the Crystal Ball’s prediction.
