On Tuesday night, eTalk (a Canadian entertainment news program) aired an exclusive first look at the upcoming Amazing Race All-Stars and offered the first public details about the highly anticipated premiere. The segment involved quick interview segments with some of the teams that will be featured on the eleventh season of the show. The teams featured in the segment included:

Uchenna & JoyceThe Amazing Race 7

Rob & AmberThe Amazing Race 7

David & MaryThe Amazing Race 10

John Vito & JillThe Amazing Race 3

Joe & Bill (Team Guido)The Amazing Race 1

Ozzy & Danny (Team Cha Cha Cha)The Amazing Race 2

Dustin & KandiceThe Amazing Race 10

Charla & MirnaThe Amazing Race 5

Eric & DanielleThe Amazing Race 9

Kevin & DrewThe Amazing Race 1

Teri & IanThe Amazing Race 3

The interviews happened in Miami, which might be the starting point of the race. In addition to confirming some of the rumored teams, the segment also revealed some interesting details about both new and old relationships. Primarily it showed that at least one team that will be competing on the All-Star edition of the show did not compete together before. This team is the dating couple of Eric and Danielle from Season 9 when Eric was on ‘Team Frat’ and Danielle was on ‘Team Pink.’ Team Kentucky (David & Mary) were also wearing alittlekarma.com t-shirts (the company that their friends Erwin & Godwin founded after The Amazing Race 10.

In addition, John Vito and Jill were tagged as formerly dating. They were the couple from Season 3 who met after 9/11 and have obviously since broken up.

Primarily, the eTalk segment focused on Romber and their feud with Season 7 winners Uchenna & Joyce. All the teams were primarily asked about these two teams and here is an exact transcript of what was said by each team.

Uchenna & JoyceThe Amazing Race 7

Uchenna: “The first race gave us a bunch of courage and now we’re putting the belt up for grabs.”

Joyce: “We’re not putting it up for grabs, we’re keeping it.”

Uchenna: “Or we’re giving them a shot at it.”

Rob & AmberThe Amazing Race 7

Rob: (Responding to the claim that he still maintains that producers of the show assisted Uchenna & Joyce in boarding the plane that ultimately won them the Race) “Anybody that saw the show knows pretty much what happened there. I am over it. I am not holding anything against Uchenna & Joyce.”

Amber: “We’re not out for revenge or anything.”

Uchenna & JoyceThe Amazing Race 7

Uchenna: “They got a stroke of bad luck at the wrong time. It’s as simple as that.”

David & MaryThe Amazing Race 10

Mary: “It wouldn’t have been an All-Star without Rob & Amber.”

John Vito & JillThe Amazing Race 3

John Vito: “We’re pretty tired of seeing Rob & Amber, so hopefully they will be off the Race pretty soon.”

Joe & Bill (Team Guido)The Amazing Race 1

Joe: “I think Rob is one of the best Racers ever. Everything that I think everyone wants to be.”

Ozzy & Danny (Team Cha Cha Cha)The Amazing Race 2

Ozzy: “Rob & Amber. They have made a career out of being on reality shows. This is their bread and butter. Good for them. They have found a way to make a good living. I would have done the same thing if that was my only talent.”

Dustin & KandiceThe Amazing Race 10

Dustin: “I don’t think they are going to win again.”

Kandice: “Nah, I don’t think they are going to win either.”

Dustin: “They have never had to race us before.”

Charla & MirnaThe Amazing Race 5

Charla: “Good luck to them too, but we’ve got a lot of tricks up our sleeve. They’re going to all have to get past us to get to that finish line.”

Eric & DanielleThe Amazing Race 9

Danielle: “I am sure Uchenna & Joyce will still be competitive, ‘cause who doesn’t want to win a million dollars twice? But I just feel to make it fair, they shouldn’t have put anyone on who already won.”

Kevin & DrewThe Amazing Race 1

Kevin: “If they win, it’s kind of sour grapes, I think, for the rest of us.”

Drew: “I’ll be pissed if anybody else except us wins. Forget about just Uchenna & Joyce. I’ll be happy for everybody, but I’ll be pissed too because I want to win.”

MURTZ’S THOUGHTS

Clearly, everyone knows that I will be rooting for my buddy Rob and once again it seems that he will be racing against the ire of the other teams. I think it is truly pathetic that some of the other teams are already more concerned with the inclusion of Romber than they are with their own plans. In the promo to the story, Uchenna also said that this is Rob’s fourth chance to win a million dollars. If I had my way, Rob would be on every show. The fact is, Uchenna, that you are only on the show because you won. It takes skill, character and personality to be cast on four major reality shows in a row. Not one fluke plane ride.

The same goes for John Vito and Jill. Tired of seeing Rob and Amber? I was tired of seeing every confessional you did in Season 3 discussing 9/11. And I hope you guys don’t last too long.

Ozzy and Danny say that the only thing Rob and Amber are good at are reality shows. I haven’t seen them do anything since their show ended.

This is supposed to be an All-Star edition of the show and the same mistakes are happening. What happened to Lynn & Alex or Susan & Patrick from Season 7? Weren’t they the Rob-haters? Guess they didn’t get called back.

You have all seen the same shows that I have. You mess with Rob and you are eliminated.

I could go on forever. Anyway, I see an alliance between Kevin/Draw & Romber happening. I think the Guidos are the most underrated Racers and will be one of the teams to beat. My only hope is that twists and stuff don’t ruin the purity of the game and allow for some of the losers to stay in it.

And seriously. Seeing Rob dominating reality shows never gets old.
