Richly Deserved: The Apprentice: Los Angeles Episode 6-5

Shows

Previously. Marisa wanted to name a chicken bowl, Bravado. Heidi said no. Marisa wanted a chicken suit. Heidi said no. Marisa asked Trump for another chance. Trump said no. Was it a good firing? I said no.

Oh yeah, and Tim showed why he’s “The Musician”

Heidi and Aimee return to hugs and cheers while Aaron returns yelling and screaming about how quiet he was in the boardroom.

THE TEAMS
With Marisa being driven towards Arcadia, our teams are now …
Kinetic: Heidi, Derek, Aimee, Angela, Muna, Jenn, Kristine.
Arrow: Frank, James, Aaron, Stefani, Tim, Surya, Nicole.

THE TASK
Once again we are blessed by the presence of the worst Apprentice winner ever, Sean. The teams are to harvest, bottle, and market Sue Bee Honey.

Stefani tells us she’s scared of the bees but digs right in and does a great job. Surya, in a selling meeting with James and project manager Aaron, proceeds to complicate the task using jargon James and Aaron do not understand. The guy is a walking sleeping pill.

Aimee is leading Kinetic. Derek is one of those harvesting and he gets stung through his bee suit. Aimee and Jenn meanwhile have trouble coming up with a name for the honey, let alone a marketing plan.

Over at Arrow, James and Tim get into a rather playful shouting match on the production line. Nicole is loving it. The Nicole/Tim romance is starting to warm up.

It’s time to sell the product at the supermarket. Stefani does a great job selling early but then Surya disrupts her. Tim and Nicole try bulk sales but it doesn’t seem that other retailers care for a box of honey.

Meanwhile Stafani is frustrated because the team is telling Aaron what to do instead of Aaron leading.

Kinetic’s sales are real slow. Aimee is having a tough time selling. Then they get creative. First, Derek puts on the bee suit to “generate some buzz” (ha ha). It nearly scares the living daylights out of a toddler in a shopping cart, but it works.

Then, Kinetic realizes they have another built-in advantage, the presence of Olympic Gold, Silver (Thank you, Jayna Hefford), and Bronze (Thank you, Kim Martin) medallist Angela Ruggiero. So Angela dons a track suit and sells honey with her greatest asset, her accomplishments.

THE RESULT
Arrow – $775, Kinetic – $836. The losing streak for team Heidi is over.

THE REWARD
Kinetic gets a bit of a scrimmage led by Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson (Who’s team lost to my Raptors last week), and legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Muna was thrilled to meet the zen master.

THE BOARDROOM
Too long. Too boring. Too much of Sean talking. Not nearly enough of Aaron trying to save himself. He brings Surya in but also brings Nicole just to fill the “two people” quota. Aaron is fired and has more to say in the limo confessional than he did in the boardroom.
