Backstage News from TNA Tapings

News

Backstage following last night’s TNA tapings, the feeling was that it was one of the better tapings in a while, and that they realized the past few weeks have been off. Morale was high, and Spike officials were there and hosted a party afterwards.

Many within TNA feel that the time of having two-hour shows as well as house shows is on the horizon. TNA will likely hold two shows (aside from Lockdown, in St. Louis) outside of Orlando.

In other news, Ron Killings is hurt, recently having knee surgery, and he was on crutches at the tapings. They will continue to do the dumb movie parodies with him. Also backstage last night were Glacier, Dory Funk Jr., and the Riggs Brothers. Apollo was expected to be there, probably to re-join LAX, but was not. Konnan, however, was backstage and in a lot of pain. If you’re interested in adding to the $8000+ already raised by Georgiann Makropolous and Anthony DiBlasi for Konnan’s kidney transplant, email here. FYI, AAA is now donating a portion of its gate receipts for next month’s Rey de Reyes show, as well.

Thanks to Matt Roseboom for sending along the following photos from last night’s TNA tapings. You can check them out here.

Finally, Christopher Daniels will be playing an MMA fighter on CBS’ Numb3rs this Friday.
