Richly Deserved: The Amazing Race: All Stars Episode 11-3

Shows

Last week was the end for Kevin and Drew, who just weren’t the same team we saw in Season 1.
This week the teams stayed in Chile, starting in The Valley of the Dead and ending in Petrohue, dug up some live fish, and did a little whitewater rafting.

Here’s how they finished.

ROB AND AMBER
This is a clinic. Every future Amazing Race wannabe, just watch them closely. Why are they so good? They never stop thinking or planning. They don’t rest until things are under control. They aren’t afraid to go full tilt on the tasks (Nice road block again for Amber. She’s even making an Honor Roll case now). They pay close attention to detail. They know the main thing is to have at least one team behind them at all times. And they never lose their cool. Add a couple of home-gym sets to their record-breaking reality haul. Even if they lose, they’re clearly the best team.

UCHENNA AND JOYCE
A sensational leg for these two. First, they join Rob and Amber in getting the better flight to Puerto Montt by booking ahead of the other teams. From there, Uchenna went full tilt on the road block and except for a slight misstep getting to the detour area, they may have beaten Romber. Otherwise a great leg.

ERIC AND DANIELLE
I think Danielle was chastizing Eric at home watching this episode and seeing Eric tell her to “use your boobs” to help transport the fish from one tank to the other. Danielle was scared of the fish at first then settled in and did a nice job. They were also on the earlier flight in so they had the luxury of having a straightforward journey to the third-place spot.

DUSTIN AND KANDICE
My, did the beauty queens catch a break. After a very good roadblock they had trouble finding the clue. They did find Eric and Danielle and followed them to the detour. After doing the detour they checked in fourth, only for Phil to remind them they hadn’t retrieved all the clues. They found the clue box and returned, shocked to find out they were still fourth. Competitive as ever and as I said before, not as annoying as in their season.

OSWALD AND DANNY
Took the later flight and that’s all it took for them to fall behind. Otherwise the guys continue to work well together and this was the right spot for them. And they stopped the affectionate touching of eachother and for that I say, thank you.

TERI AND IAN
Formed a nice alliance with Dustin and Kandice and did hold their ground when Charla and Mirna got in their way. Had time to play with getting the first flight and nearly got a real scare when Teri fell into the water while rafting. All in all though a fair leg for the two.

JOE AND BILL
We saw a bit of the ‘ol Guidos in this episode. And I’m sure they’ll remember Petrohue for a long time. Bill did not read the part of the clue in the fish-farming tank which said the clue was near Petrohue so they really got lost. Fortunately they ran into Charla and Mirna and followed them to the clue. Then in typical Guido fashion, they overtook Charla and Mirna to the pit stop. They came very close to being eliminated.

CHARLA AND MIRNA
Another week, another team they’ve managed to get under the skin of. Teri and Ian were at a ticket counter looking to get on the better flight when Charla and Mirna barged in. Teri and Ian put them in their place quickly. Later Charla showed off her “big” personality again. When they agreed to split a cab escort with the Guidos, Charla yelled “Don’t screw us like the girls did.” They nearly lost when they left the car keys in the changing tent at the rafting site. Rob and Amber may be the best team but these two definitely have made the show so far.

DAVID AND MARY
Ah, we knew it was going to happen sooner or later but it’s still sad. David had trouble finding his way out of the airport. David then was quite hesitant at the road block. Then they passed Petrohue. For a team that simply could not afford to make mistakes, they made too many of them. Yet there they were at the pit stop, smiling, enjoying the opportunity, and still very much in love with each other, even after ten years of marriage. Well-deserving Reality TV Honor Rollers and still a shining example of Americans to the world.

Next week, the clash of the titans, Charla and Mirna vs. Rob and Amber. And an ending that everyone will be talking about. Could this be the episode America’s team faces an untimely exit?
