WEEK 29 RANKINGS

Networks:

#1 – CBS
#2 – ABC
#3 – FOX
#4 – NBC
#5 – The CW

Top 10 Shows:

#1 – American Idol (FOX)
#2 – CSI (CBS)
#3 – House (FOX)
#4 – Dancing with the Stars 4 (ABC)
#5 – NCAA Championship Basketball Game (CBS)
#6 – Shark (CBS)
#7 – Desperate Housewives (ABC)
#8 – Without a Trace (CBS)
#9 – NCIS (CBS)
#10 – ‘Til Death (FOX)

CBS was the clear winner this week. In fact, it could have taken Sunday night off and STILL win this week. ABC was just strong enough to take over second place from FOX. That’s not to say that Dancing with the Stars is doing better than American Idol. That’s not the case at all. In fact, House is beating Dancing with the Stars head-to-head.

Never under estimate the power of American Idol. It turns every FOX show that airs after it into gold. It did it with Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? and now is breathing new life into ‘Til Death. In fact, it was good enough for ‘Til Death to break the “top 10” this week! Granted there were a bunch of reruns this week, but still ‘Til Death was pretty much dead on Thursday nights. Now it has improved by over 5 solid ratings points. One thing is becoming crystal clear. CBS can’t be stopped as the #1 network and American Idol can’t be stopped as the #1 show on television! Stay tuned…

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
