Cena the New Hogan, Smackdown the B-Show & More

News, Ratings

WWE.com has an interview up with RAW senior official Mike Chioda about his decision to “let” Shawn Michaels compete on Monday. Man, it’s not enough that WWE sent the message that Smackdown is indeed the b-show on Monday; now they’re making it even more impressive that HBK won?

In other news, Monday’s RAW did a 3.6 cable rating with a 5.6 share and hours of 3.5 and 3.7. The 5/12 AM RAW did a 0.9 cable rating, with a 3.9 share and the 5/11 Smackdown did a 2.6 broadcast rating, with a 5.0 share. Back to the RAW title scene, PWInsider has reported that the site has been told “there are tentative plans to have [ECW’s Snitsky] come over to challenge John Cena for the WWE title at some point.” Take that for what it’s worth.

Matthew Michaels is editor emeritus of Pulse Wrestling, and has been since the site launched.
