Disney Pictures and Walden Media have found their director for the third installment in the Narnia franchise in Michael Apted.
Apted will direct The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is aiming for release on May 1, 2009. Mark Johnson will produce the film with Andrew Adamson. Adamson directed the first two films.
The second film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is set for release sometime in 2008. Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, and Georgie Henley are all set to return for both sequels.
