Tapouts: Penn vs. Sanchez, Vera’s Future, More on TUF6

B.J. Penn’s camp has informed Sherdog that B.J. will not be fighting at UFC 74 against Diego Sanchez, or anyone else. However, the possibility of a fight between the two has not been ruled out for a later date.

UFC heavyweight Brandon “The Truth” Vera inked a new deal with UFC back in March, but has been inactive in 2007 due to a dispute with his manager, Mark Dion. Vera announced to The Fight Network that Dion has been fired and Vera is looking forward to getting back into the Octagon. He hopes to be able to fight twice for UFC this year, which seems a little ambitious, but he’s hoping to start his comeback as early as UFC 75.


UFCJunkie is reporting that Matt Arroyo (2-1) will be on the cast of The Ultimate Fighter 6. Arroyo is the latest rumored fighter associted with TUF6, joining the likes of Mac Danzig, Jon Koppenhaver, Richie Hightower, Billy Miles and Joe Scarola.
