#390 – Tina Shows Alice She’s Pregnant (Loneliest Number)

Alice arrives at Tina’s temporary guest house of Joyce Wischnia to see if she’s showing up for the reopening of the Planet. Tina however is busy working on a grant proposal to the Peabody Foundation for her volunteer site and can’t make it. Alice decides to share her feelings on the breakup of Bette and Tina by reiterating a point made years ago by saying that if they ever broke up, it would suck and now…it does. Alice is concerned that Tina’s burying herself and, “eating away her pain,” noticing Tina’s weight gain since the breakup. Tina then reveals for the first time to anyone other than Dr. Wilson the truth, that being she’s pregnant. Alice begins to cry as she now understands. Alice is also miffed that Bette doesn’t know, but she will eventually.

#389 – Hello…Kit Porter…So Glad To See You (Lobsters)

His name is Angus and he’s the manny (male nanny) for baby Angelica. Babysitting for the day, he goes for a walk down West Hollywood with Angelica along for the ride. Singing hello to various inanimate objects for Angelica’s entertainment, he ventures past the Planet where Kit, Bette’s sister notices. Kit asks him what he’s doing with that baby to which he replies that he’s babysitting. They introduce themselves to one another and Kit takes an instant liking to him. From there, it would all begin for Kit and her, “Mangus.”

#388 – Jodi Loves Bette (Little Boy Blue)

Bette can be real meticulous in her approach sometimes. She wants everything to be just perfect for the dinner party later in the evening for her new girlfriend, Jodi. Everything has to be just right. The seating arrangements are on paper. The lights are up. The right food is being ordered. Bette wants to leave nothing to chance in terms of unpredictability. Jodi feels a little uncomfortable about the notion, but knows that Bette’s doing this all with the best of intentions. Bette assures Jodi that everyone attending knows that Jodi is deaf, with Bette’s concern that Jodi may miss parts of the conversation overall as a result, to which Jodi doesn’t mind. “I’m going to miss things,” Jodi reminds Bette. They smile and enjoy the moment together with Jodi letting Bette know she could love her. Bette notices what was just said and now Jodi says nothing. For Jodi, it’s a strange feeling to have and one which at this point, she’s unsure about having.

#387 – Tina’s Touching Moment (Lap Dance)

The inbetween Season 1 & 2 breakup of Bette and Tina’s been hard for both parties. For Tina, it’s getting to the point of being a haunting experience. Inspired by possible loneliness or just a longing to feel something, Tina lies in bed and begins to masturbate. Any good feeling that could derive from this begins to fall away however as Tina begins to hear Bette’s haunting laughter. It’s a reminder of the emptiness Tina now feels and it brings her to tears. The breakup is now turning into personal torment for her.

After spending an evening together, Tina and Henry can no longer hold back the affection they’re beginning to feel for one another. With baby Angelica sound asleep in Bette’s bedroom, Tina and Henry begin to engage in an intimate encounter that will ultimately lead to Henry carrying Tina towards the wall. They have sex, with Tina’s back against the door while Henry holds her there as if trying to hammer her to it. It’s all the heterosexuality Tina could hope for at this stage in her life.

#385 – Poor Mr. Piddles (Limb From Limb)

Mr. Piddles, International Cat Of Mystery and Dana’s best friend. Dana could tell Mr. P anything and the faithful companion would always be there for her. But now he’s dead and Dana is devastated. Tonya, Dana’s girlfriend has called in Alice to console Dana, who cradles the dead cat in her arms, crying. Alice arrives and is there for Dana in her time of grief, while Tonya has a mix of concern for her girlfriend, but also a slight annoyance about the cat. To this day, there are fans who speculate that Tonya was the one who did Mr. Piddles in, but it’s never been proven one way or the other. The circumstances involving Mr. Piddles’ death may never be explained, leaving fans to wonder just what the truth is behind his unfortunate passing.

#384 – Acknowledgment & Apology (Labia Majora)

Jenny had been in Skokie for about six months just to get away from Los Angeles for a while. It would be during this time in which Jenny would become close friends with the rather butch Moira. Just before leaving back for LA, Jenny and Moira decided to have a tryst in Jenny’s bedroom, only to be run out of the house by Jenny’s parents. Before Jenny leaves however, Sandy, Jenny’s mom wants to talk with her. Sandy asks if Jenny’s current attitude in life and sexuality is her fault, which Jenny assures her it isn’t. Sandy apologizes to Jenny for not being there for her in a supportive state when Jenny was violated as a little girl by a group of boys. Jenny points out that this was the first time that Sandy had ever acknowledged that moment ever happening.

#383 – Just A Little Bette & Candace (Life, Loss, Leaving)

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the end of the Candace Invasion. After a night of sex in Candace’s bed, they wake up in their intimacy. Candace is enjoying being with Bette outright, but Bette’s mind is wandering elsewhere. For Bette, something just isn’t right. The breakup with Tina was still fresh in her mind and Bette just can’t make herself let go. This will be the last time Candace is seen (flashback notwithstanding) before Bette leaves her.

#382 – The Lump (Labia Majora)

It wasn’t supposed to be a big deal at the time, but it would be the start of a tragic journey. Dana and Lara are together on the couch at Dana’s home, their hands all over one another when Lara feels a lump in Dana’s right breast. Dana dismisses it immediately, claiming that it had been there for some time. She just has lumpy breasts, she says. But sadly it would be more than just that.

#381 – Date At The Aquarium (Limb From Limb)

It’s the first instance in which Jenny realizes that something’s not right with her. His name is Gene Feinberg and he’s a good guy. Friendly. Works at a an aquarium and studies manatees. They agreed earlier to have a date and now this is the date. The conversation isn’t much, with both giving off the charm of nervous middle schoolers looking for a first kiss. Speaking of which, these two embrace in a kiss, which becomes much more. They make their way to the office room with Jenny against the wall, holding onto Gene. As the sex gets more intense, Jenny begins to break down. Gene notices and decides to stop to see if she’s okay. She isn’t. It’s been a whirlwind ride for Jenny up to this point and it was still getting started.
