With the Halloween season vastly upon us, the now annual horror of the Saw franchise approaches as the fourth film will hit theatres on October 26.
It is now a proven fact that the next two sequels in the franchise will be filmed backed to back with David Hackl taking the director’s chair on both. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton are writing the scripts for both films as well.
What has yet to be confirmed is a rumor that the franchise may take a break next year and come back in 2009. Lionsgate is reportedly considering taking October of 2008 off and waiting another year to reveal the fifth film with the sixth coming out in 2010. More on this as we get it.
