My daughter was pretty fussy on Sunday night, as she’s hit a growth spurt and requires nourishment at pretty much all points of the day. And of course, what comes in, must come out. Although I gotta say, I didn’t expect to change her 4 times in two hours, and get peed on in the process. Good times, people, good times.

Travel
Teams flew to Amsterdam in The Netherlands from Shannon, and this kind of illustrated why you want to be in the front of the pack. Often on this show, the teams all end up on the same flight, but arriving early affords you the luxury of guaranteed tickets and the ability to look around and see what’s better. Ronald started showing signs that he’s going to be very fricking annoying because he will talk on and on and on. That Christina hasn’t strangled him yet shows that Ronald has perhaps used a feather duster on her in the past. Don’t worry if you don’t get that reference – I guarantee you that most Asian-American/Canadians just did and flinched at the thought.

Detour – Hoist it or Hunt it
I kinda missed this task because of one of the aforementioned diaper changes, but I gather that most teams went for “easy” and looked for bikes. Considering that I saw Ronald and Christina have some problems tying the necessary knot, it was probably for the best that some teams didn’t try to haul furniture. I dunno, it probably hurts your chances of winning the Race if you have furniture fall on you.

Roadblock
Definitely an amusing Roadblock, which was no trouble for some teams, and rather muddy for others. Not much else to say about the task itself, except that perhaps Nic should’ve done the task – I didn’t need to see Donald in his underwear.

Looking at the numbers, only Jason and Marianna have done two Roadblocks. It’s not a big deal right now, but it could become something they look back on later as they start butting up against the 6 Roadblock limit.

So, what went wrong for Kate and Pat? Well, minutes can cost hours, and missing the bus to the Roadblock sealed their fate. You know it’s a foregone conclusion when the producers don’t even try to add tension at the end with the bottom two teams.

That’s it for this week. It’s a bit brief, I know, and I apologize for that. We’ll see if my daughter cooperates next Sunday.
