Joe Kennedy died Friday morning at the age of 28. He died after passing out at his in-laws. No cause of death is known at this point. Medical tests to determine the cause of death are expected to take about six to eight weeks.
Kennedy was a journeyman left hander who had pitched for Tampa Bay, Colorado, Oakland, Arizona, and Toronto. Kennedy had a career 4.79 ERA, pitching 908 2/3 innings over 222 career appearances. He made his last appearance in relief on Sept. 29 in a 5-3 win over Tampa Bay.
