Big Show Returning To WWE

News

Big Show is coming back to WWE full-time sometime soon. He had been training for a boxing career, with the idea that Hulk Hogan was going to come in and act as a mouthpiece for him. There was also talk of him working for Hogan’s own wrestling promotion but that fell through after the show they headlined in Memphis failed to draw much attention. Also, given his age and lack of experience, the chances of him succeeding at boxing were minimal. Still, it has gotten his weight down to about 440 pounds.

In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dave Meltzer compiled a list of the total number of matches wrestled by each WWE wrestler in 2007. Although John Cena was on course to have the highest number prior to his injury, the one who worked the most was actually Batista with 161 matches. Jeff Hardy was second with 146, followed closely by MVP with 145 and Randy Orton with 144.

Rey Mysterio is working a reduced schedule now. He reportedly gets one week off a month, not including TV tapings, which is a similar deal to what the Undertaker has. John Laurinaitis didn’t want to reduce his schedule but Mysterio kept pressing for it after returning from his injury last year.

There are Raw and Smackdown tapings in South Carolina on 24 and 25 March. These will in theory be Ric Flair’s last chance to wrestle there.
