The teams started from Taipei for their journey to the finish line in Anchorage, Alaska.
Highlights:
Travel to 6th Avenue Outfitters, pick up gear and the next clue (Nicolas and Donald forgot to pick up their gear and had to go back).
Detour: “Cut the Cod” – Slice through huge cod to find a minature clue (Ron and Chris and Nic and Don did this quickly)
“Grab the Crab” – Search through pools of crab to find one with a race marker (TK and Rachel had a painful time with the crabs biting them but get one eventually)
Climb up a glacier: Ron, TK, and Donald do this well. The others, especially Chris struggle.
Road Block: Put 10 items on a stage. There must be only one from each leg of the race. At least three must be animals or animal by-products. One should be an item used on a road block. One must be a U-turn. And there were other conditions as well.
Two more clue stops before the finish line.

Third place …
NICOLAS AND DONALD: Started third. Ended third. Their downfall was Nicolas failing to finish the road block, disregarding a gun as one of the pieces you had to have. Otherwise, an o.k. leg with Don continuing to amaze. Nothing wrong with having the highlight of your life come at 68 years old. Excellent job.
Second place …
RON AND CHRISTINA: Following this team and seeing their relationship improve from week to week was the highlight of this race. They ran this final leg in front most of the way but when Chris had trouble climbing the ice and when she had trouble at the road block, that pretty much cost them the million. But their attitude the past three legs has been wonderful and I wish them both well.
And your winners …
TK AND RACHEL: If you ever go on this race yourself, and you need an example to follow on how to conduct yourselves and what attitude to keep at all times, then this is the team to model yourselves after. After their amazing comeback last week, they just went about their business, caught up a bit at the ice and Rachel sealed it by winning the battle at the road block. They showed them have problems with their cab drivers but it didn’t seem to cost them. A sensational team. A sensational couple. A million dollars well earned.
Good season. There will be a 13th and when that happens, we’ll be back to bring all the action.
