TNA are bringing back Frank Trigg, the announcer who debuted at the live Impact, to announce the Angle/Joe match at Lockdown. He got very favourable reviews backstage for his performance and there is talk of using him as a wrestler with an MMA gimmick.

Dusty Rhodes leaving his creative role as ECW head writer to head up the Florida Championship Wrestling developmental territory had been in the works for a while. Rhodes stays in Atlanta, had to spend two or three days on the road with the TV crew, plus one or two days in Stamford a week, and at his age did not want to keep up such a hectic travel schedule. No long-term creative team plans are in place for ECW yet, with Ed Koskey and Michael Hayes both mentioned as possible new supervisors.

Amy Hennig, daughter of Mr Perfect, has been training at Harley Race’s school on a WWE developmental deal. Usually all WWE developmental talent has to be at Florida Championship Wrestling but an exception was made owing to the longstanding close relationship of the Hennig and Race families.

Nick Nemeth, Mighty Mikey, Billy Kidman and Al Snow have been doing motion capture for the Smackdown vs Raw 2009 video game.

Randy Orton’s wife, Samantha, is due to give birth in July.
