NASCAR Adrenaline isn’t anything new. It’s more a collection of things all NASCAR fans have seen before. From classic finishes to classic wrecks, it’s all here. The first volume is a re-release that was originally released in ’04. And it’s blatantly obviously dated. The interviews on that volume are good, but it still shows Terry Labonte as driving the #5 car, Jeff Burton is still in the #99 car.

There’s some good wreck footage in both volumes. Michael Waltrip destroying his car in the Bush series and an inside look at Eliot Sadler’s flipping wreck at Talladega.

Even with the dated feel of the first volume, it’s still better than the second volume. The second volume is like a documentary. With a screen popping up with a phrase like “It consumes me” which leads to a series of interviews with drivers about what they do in their off time. Then another topic comes up and they go back through the drivers on that topic. They mix in some footage with the interviews but for the most part it’s just drivers talking.

The audio is really good, like most things NASCAR has a hand in. They use the in car camera with the sound for a couple scenes. And it’s borderline sickening hearing a tire blow on that camera and watching the driver keep the car straight.

NASCAR Adrenaline is presented in a 1.33:1 Aspect Ratio. The audio is overall good. All the interviews are fine and sounds from the cars border on sick.

The first volume really feels dated–it was originally released in 2004 which explains it. The second volume is just interviews and highlights from races. I wouldn’t really say this is for the die-hard NASCAR fans, because they’ve already seen it all. However they would like it because there is some good wreck footage.
