“WWE Championship Scramble Qualifying Matches will start and end!” – Jim Ross. 10 Thoughts on SmackDown.

1. The WWE Opening Program footage shows and we go to a recap of SmcakDown’s matches at Summerslam. One of the clips showed Triple H giving The Great Khali the Pedigree, and that brought back some bad memories. Let me get this out of the way now so I don’t have to rant about it later. The Great Khali and Triple H match at Summerslam was nothing more than wrestling at its worst. There was a moment when Triple H and Khali were down in the middle of the ring for a double countout. Before starting his count to ten, the referee checked for vital signs. The worst part was they were clearly breathing and moving. It was so obvious that these two were trying to work together it hurt. The Pedigree looked more like a double team move than a finisher.

2. The Wedding Planner is in the SmackDown introduction video.

3. Vickie sucks. At everything.

4. The 10 Man Scramble Qualification Battle Royal was done horribly. One big problem I had with the match was that Big Show, someone who wasn’t even in the match, came into the ring and started tossing everybody out. None of these men even tried to argue that the elimination shouldn’t have counted; they just waltzed their way to the back.

5. The Brian Kendrick is my favorite angle on SmackDown now that Edge is dead. He really is doing something special here, but it’s kind of getting stale already. His post-match celebration is the same thing week after week. I’m behind The Brian Kendrick 100%, but it seems as if the crowd can care less.

6. Festus is starting to become a real powerhouse. Not only does he have a strong, solid moveset, but the crowd is really behind him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a permanent switch to single competition and Jesse gets future endeavored.

7. Triple H was on commentary duty during the Khali/Hardy match. I don’t want to say he did horrible, but let’s just say I’d rather listen to Vickie Guererro. “Getting hit by Khali’s clothesline is like… is like… is like getting hit by a car.”

8. Even after drinking a Red Bull, I legit fell asleep during The Undertaker’s two minute and fifty-four second entrance

9. I can’t explain to you how painful it was to see Vickie try to beg Undertaker for forgiveness with absolutely NO EXPRESSION AT ALL. The worst was when she got on her knees and repeated “Please, I’m on my knees…” with zero voice inflection. I was reconsidering thought number seven after this segment.

10. Watching this week’s SmackDown was like… was like… was like getting hit by a car.
