Bud Selig is scheduled to hold a press conference at 5pm eastern time today to announce that beginning on Thursday umpires will begin to use instant replay to determine home run calls.
Baseball has been against replay for years, but a week with numerous terrible calls prompted MLB to consider using instant replay.
All stadiums were equipped with replay equipment last week, and will now start using it.
