TNA News on Sting, Suicide, Tomko

News

The Whoissuicide storyline in the upcoming TNA video game plays out as follows… Suicide was a TNA superstar who broke the script during a match to win a title match he was booked to lose. LAX then beat him up and ditched him in Mexico, where he wakes up with no memory and the player can then reconstruct him as they see fit.

It looks like Tomko’s return to TNA was motivated by money. He is known for living large and the cancellation of an IGF show he was booked for may have left him a little short, particularly since WWE never tried to sign him when he was backstage at a Smackdown taping a few weeks ago.

The latest on the Sting situation is that many on the booking team, including Jeff Jarrett, are questioning the value of signing him for another year. Jarrett was quietly unhappy about how much they spent to keep him around for 2008, especially since Sting doesn’t work house shows or the international tours. Ultimately, however, the decision is for Dixie Carter to make and she is a fan of Sting at least in so much as marketing is concerned. Sting has also ruffled a few feathers on the booking front by nixing a number of ideas creative come up with for him.
