Update on Jeff Hardy

News

Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com, who last night reported that Jeff Hardy was in an incident at an airport, has provided additional details obtained from an eyewitness.

Apparently Jeff was removed from his flight at the Nashville International Airport just before 11 Wednesday morning. He was on his way from where Friday’s Smackdown was taped to his home in North Carolina, and traveling with Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms. Several police officers escorted him off the plane, without touching him or cuffing him, and he was then allowed to use his phone. He was wearing some of the same clothes he was seen in on Tuesday night.

Johnson writes that the exact reason he was escorted off the flight is not yet confirmed, but that there was some concert at WWE headquarters. The UK Sun has published the following statement from WWE on the matter: “WWE has been informed of an alleged incident involving Jeff Hardy. We are currently investigating the situation and will take appropriate actions if needed.”

Jason Powell at Prowrestling.net adds this to the story: “Nashville International Airport spokesperson Emily Richard told Prowrestling.net … that no report pertaining to Hardy had been filed with the airport.”
