Bye Week Alternatives – Week 7

With Arizona, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Philadelphia on bye next week there are several outstanding players not available to your fantasy teams.  Let take a look at some attractive alternatives.

Quarterback
Kurt Warner and Donovan McNabb are the ones that will be missed the most.  David Garrard is likely a backup in most leagues and Matt Ryan may have found his way on a few rosters.  Jake Delhomme is a nice alternative going up against New Orleans.  Matt Schaub should have his way against the Detroit Lions.  Kyle Orton could be used against the Vikings if all other options are gone.

Running Back
Edgerrin James, Tim Hightower, Michael Turner, Maurice Jones-Drew, Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter will leave fantasy teams thin at RB.  DeAngelo Williams should do well against New Orleans.  He seems to do better against less physical Defenses. Chris Johnson and LenDale White are both possibilities vs. Kansas City.  Ryan Grant could continue to produce vs. Indy.

Wide Receiver
You need to replace Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, Roddy White, Matt Jones, and DeSean Jackson.  Muhsin Muhammad is a possibility as he faces the Saints (Notice a theme).  Patrick Crayton and Miles Austin could produce vs. the Rams.  Rashied Davis and Devin Hester could get off against the Vikings.  Antwaan Randle El goes against Cleveland.  Kevin Walter is an option as he faces Detroit.

Tight End
You’ll have to find an alternative for Marcedes Lewis and L.J. Smith.  Robert Royal could do some damage as San Diego has been prone to allow Tight End production this year.  Greg Olsen should get going vs. Minnesota.  Dante Rosario should produce vs. the Saints.
