UFC Heavyweight champion Randy “The Natural” Couture joined the crew of Inside MMA last week for a strategy discussion.
Couture, who defends his championship against Brock Lesnar on November 15th at UFC 91, was quick to point out that he’s giving up a significant size advantage to the 280 pound former NCAA champion.
“You’ve got to be on the bottom,” he said. “If this guy takes me down, I’ve got to be able to survive and get up and scramble and get out from underneath him. I can’t lie down there and give up rounds.”
Couture also discussed training with big, strong heavyweights like Shane Carwin in an effort to be ready for the overwhelming power Lesnar brings into the cage.
