Coming Soon from Criterion…

Disc Announcements, News

Criterion Collection, a continuing series of important classic and contemporary films. The creme de la creme of the cinema world. If Criterion releases it odds are there’s a good reason and it’s probably worth checking out. Videofiles every where collect these things like baseball cards and Criterion even numbers each of their releases with what they call a “spine number.”

The following is a list of upcoming releases through January 2009. And, as previously reported, the Criterion Blu-ray discs are starting to roll out. It is very nice to notice that the Blu-ray price is exactly the same as the regular price. Please note: the Blu-ray editions of older Criterion releases are not being issued new spine numbers.

Note: Most titles will be available in both DVD and Blu-ray, but not all. And if an Amazon.com link is not provided; it is because it is merely too far in advance and one will soon become available.
