Rey Mysterio Contract & Hispanic Ratings News

News

Rey Mysterio has agreed terms to a new WWE contract. It seems that he has agreed to a three-year deal with an option for another two years. He had been in discussions with John Laurinaitis for several months now. His current deal would have expired already had he not been out of action for a lengthy period due to injury, which allows WWE to extend the timeframe of their standard contracts.

Meanwhile, Smackdown returned to the top ten English language shows in the Hispanic demographic with the January 2nd episode. That show did a 3.1 Hispanic rating, which translates to 618,000 viewers and the #9 spot on the chart. Smackdown was a fixture in the top ten until Rey Mysterio was moved to Raw.
