Ric Flair Talks ROH, Triple H, WWE, Steamboat, And The One Match He Didn’t Have Before Retirement

News

Phil Strum of the Poughkeepsie Journal has an interview with Ric Flair up on their website, and excerpts that didn’t make it in to the interview on his blog. In the main story, he talks about his working relationship with WWE (he’s a phone call away for promotional appearances, but he’s not wrestling again), what he likes about working for ROH (putting over management), and working with his son Reid in training and the indie circuit.

The blog excerpts includes praise for Nigel McGuinness, Steamboat (who he says he could wrestle for two years if they were given a month to train), Triple H, and Triple H, thoughts about his 1992 Royal Rumble win, and the regrets about his match with the Rock in 2002. He also reveals that he wanted to wrestle John Cena before he retired, and said he was the one opponent he never wrestled during his career that he wished he did.
