THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING!

Smackdown is brought to us on MyNetworkTV with ringside announcers Jim Ross and Todd Grisham.

“The Rated R Superstar” Edge is in the ring to talk about John Cena and their upcoming match this Sunday. Edge claims he will be the last man standing. JR and Todd give us a replay of what happened last week when Jeff Hardy faced Big Show and Matt Hardy interfered and we go to commercial break.

Matt Hardy and “The Big Red Machine” Kane vs. CM Punk, MITB Winner, and Jeff Hardy

The referee calls for the bell and Jeff and Matt are in the ring, but Matt tags in Kane before Jeff can get to him. Jeff tags in Punk who goes after Kane and then tags in Jeff. Jeff takes an uppercut from Kane and Kane tags in Matt. The ref has to pull Jeff off of Matt in the corner. Matt bails out but Punk heads him off as Jeff comes over the top rope with a cross body block and we go to commercial break.

Back to the action, Jeff and Punk pull off a little double-team action, Punk covers and gets two. Punk tags in Jeff, another double-team effort and Jeff covers for one. Diva’s Championship Match: Maryse © vs. Gail Kim

Gail goes for a quick roll up but Maryse kicks out. Gail again goes for a cover and gets two. Maryse heads up the ramp to leave but Gail brings her back and gets caught in the ropes. Maryse delivers a DDT, covers and gets three.

Winner and still Diva’s Champion: Maryse

This wasn’t a bad match for a diva’s match. Gail Kim and Maryse are two of the better female workers in WWE. We see Jeff Hardy backstage talking about how he is going to deal with his brother at Backlash and we go to commercial break.

We a video of “The View” where one of the personalities seems to have the hots for M.V.P. I do not know who she is. I don’t watch “The View”.

M.V.P. WWE US Champion vs. Chavo Guerrero

The ref calls for the bell and the two men lock up. Porter drops the elbow, covers and gets two. Montel covers again and gets three.

Winner: M.V.P. via pinfall

An extremely short match with Dolph Ziggler coming out to give M.V.P. a hard time about their upcoming match. Sherry Sheppard is the person from “The View” who wants to meet M.V.P. and we go to commercial break.

Todd interviewed John Cena last night and we see a video of the interview. Cena claims he will be the last man standing at Backlash. Ross and Grisham give us a rundown of the matches scheduled for Backlash.
