Waltz With Bashir waltzing to DVD and BD this June

The Oscar nominee and the Golden Globe winner for Best Foreign Language Film, Waltz With Bashir, will be released on DVD on June 23, 2009. The film will be presented in 1.78:1 widescreen, along with Hebrew and English 5.1 tracks. English subtitles will also be provided. Extras will include a Directors Commentary, a Q & A with Director Ari Folman, and 2 Featurettes: Surreal Soldiers: Making Waltz with Bashir, Building the Scenes – Animatics).

Filmmaker Ari Folman, an Israeli veteran of the First Lebanon War, wonders why his memories of the war are sporadic and full of gaps. He meets with old friends who served in the military with him to piece together his past and comes face to face with the horrors of war that he has lived through. Waltz With Bashir fuses documentary with animation to create a memorable and very moving film.
