Updates on Miz, Mr. Kennedy, Kendrick

News

PW Torch’s James Caldwell points out that the Miz’s profile has been removed from WWE’s Raw roster page. No word on whether his caricature is off the locker room wall, nor whether his favorite song is out of the juke box.

In news pertaining to someone who has been released by WWE for real, PW Torch’s James Caldwell reports that Brian Kendrick’s first post-WWE match has been announced. He’ll be taking on Bryan Danielson at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s August 28th “Speed of Sound” show. Fellow future endeavorer Colt Cabana will also be on the card. Full details can be found here. I’ll go ahead and reprint this portion of they hype for Danielson vs. Kendrick because it’s hilarious:

Bryan Danielson, on the other hand, is wondering why everyone he knows from the Texas Wrestling Academy is now completely insane.

I guess you have to read the whole thing to get the full effect.

Finally, PW Torch’s Dameon Nelson has highlights of a Mr. Kennedy Anderson radio interview. He talks about his release from WWE and heat with Randy Orton, which took him completely by surprise:

“To be honest with you I kinda had a weird vibe all day. Randy Orton
and I had become very good friends…when I got to the building I ran up behind him and gave him a big bear hug from behind and he treated me like I was just an acquaintance of his.

He talks about Orton’s reaction post match, where he went off on Kennedy in front of the McMahons and the locker room. He dismisses Orton’s claims that Kennedy injured him like this:

He was so injured that he went on to wrestle three nights in Mexico.

Kennedy talks about the working conditions in WWE and likens them to a certain company that now only exists in their video archives:

“You hear all the horror stories about how WCW died…that’s the way it is now in WWE. Sometimes shows continue to be written after the show has started”.

He also talks about a TNA run (he’s open to it, but nothing’s set in stone right now), the Wellness Policy and how often he was tested, and Sunday Brunch.
