Lilian Garcia Leaving WWE by Month’s End

News

As we re-tweeted these late last night here and here, WWE Raw ring announcer Lilian Garcia posted to her Twitter page that she will be ending her WWE run “sometime this month” and that it’s very sad. This has been speculated for a while now, with some rumors going around that she would be leaving shortly after the August 23 10-year anniversary of her Raw debut.

Here is the original statement she posted on her Web site earlier this year (on June 28):

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you are doing well! I am writing to address the situation in which WWE is looking for a Female Ring Announcer/Singer. The truth of the matter is that they are looking for someone new because I have given them my notice that I will be leaving at the end of my contract this year. It is with a heavy heart that I have made this decision because WWE has been my family from day one and you, the WWE Universe have always been incredible to me. The fact is that I am getting married later this year and have decided to enter into a new phase of my life but I will truly miss all of you and the WWE tremendously.

Love you all & keep rockin!

Forever Rockin’,
Lilian :-)

Also on Twitter, Lilian recently posted about how excited she was to be a part of next Monday’s (September 14) Raw, scheduled to be hosted by her good friend Trish Stratus, so it seems safe to say that she will be ring announcer for at least another two Raws. Lilian’s Raw bio page, including photos, videos and more, can be found at WWE.com.
