WWE Adds Another Gimmick PPV

News

After polling its fans, WWE has renamed it’s December Armageddon PPV to “Tables, Ladders and Chairs,” reports F4Wonline.com. What does that mean? My guess: main events will be TLC matches… OR the card will be a mix of tables and ladders bouts, with a main event TLC match closing the show.

More than anything, it likely means more interest in a typically low-bought December event. Past Decembers have been a mixed bag, from 2001’s Vengeance that saw Chris Jericho beat Austin and The Rock in the same night to become undisputed WWF/World Champion… to “December to Dismember.” All WWE PPVs (wisely) from SummerSlam to Mania now have a big name brand and/or gimmick associated with them. Here’s hoping King of the Ring (our readers’ choice when polled last month) is brought back for one of the spring/summer months.
