– Former Heavyweight champion Sam Peter defeated Ron Bellamy last night by TKO in the second round. Peter must love fighting in Mexico as he’s now 3-0 when he fights south of the border.
– Edgar Sosa retained his WBC Light Flyweight title with a 6th round KO of Omar Soto. It is the tenth consecutive title defense for Sosa.
– Saul Alvarez remained undefeated with a first round knockout of Carlos Leonardo Herrera.
– Jorge Arce took another step back in his roller coaster career. Arce was upset by Simphiwe Nondqayi for the vacant IBF Super Flyweight title. The result was a unanimous decision.
– Humberto Soto and Ulises Solis were both victorious. Soto knocked out Aristides Perez. Solis defeated Dirceo Cabarca by unanimous decision.
