TNA Supersizing Impact Towards Bound For Glory

News

TNA and Spike TV sent out a press release about two three-hour broadcasts that will lead into TNA’s biggest PPV event of the year, bound For Glory.

This week, 10/8 will see a regular two-hour Impact followed by a third hour of Global Impact 2 – featuring matches between TNA stars and New Japan/IWGP stars. Matches on that show will include and eight-man tah pitting Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Mashahiro Chono and Riki Choshu vs. Giant Bernard, Takashi Iizuka, Tomohiro Ishii and Karl Anderson; an IWGP Tag Team Championship Match with Team 3D going up against Togi Makabe and Toru Yano and an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match featuring the Motor City Machineguns vs. Yujiro and Tetsuya Naito.

The following week, on 10/15, TNA will present a three-hour Impact as the go home show for Bound For Glory. That special Impact will be headlined by a grudge match between AJ Styles and Kurt Angle. Also on that show, Bobby Lashley will take on Rhyno in a stretcher match and Matt Morgan will wrestle Booker T.

With the recent improvement that TNA has been showing recently, it seems like their pulling out all the stops in building Bound For Glory. Hopefully the supersized Impact will meet expectations and the PPV will have a truly special feeling this year.
