Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that the reason for Lance Cade’s termination last year was the result of a seizure he had on a plane. It was believed to have been a direct result of prescription pain pill abuse.
It’s said that they axed Cade’s contract straight out instead of going through the whole Wellness Policy due to the whole ordeal happening in a public place. The WWE didn’t want to run the risk of bad publicity.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s a smart move. If Cade has pulled a Guerrero, going through rehab, working independents, then it’ll show that the ‘E believes in 2nd chances to run a horse dead. However, if he hasn’t made any progress it’s just going to be another nail in Linda’s coffin.
