DOWN TO THE WIRE
At the final five point, we have Sundai, Erin, Laura, Nicole and Jennifer, and they are amazed to be there and rather quiet. All nice girls- Sundai is coming out of her shell and Laura has a huge breakfast, made by the other girls, for her birthday.
At the beach,Marissa Miller Comes ashore and they are all star-struck- she is there to teach them to be hot but not trashy. She shows them Barbie toes, standing as if you are wearing heels.
Next, a photo challenge to jump off a cliff into the water, while looking sexy and graceful. All are equally terrified and mediocre, at best. The winner is Nicole, again- she is the only one who thinks to turn in air to the side to do the ‘butt out’ pose Marissa taught them. Among the chain of prizes, all but one model get extra poses, leaving Erin as the only one with no extra frames in the next shoot. On the other hand, Nicole has a $5000 chocolate pearl 1st prize around her neck- yum.
Next, they are underwater with ventilators but photographed when off the air supply- gulp! Laura freaks but does it well anyway, as she takes the time to grab on to everything- the air supply, photographer etc, and ‘will’ herself calm out of her panic, as she won extra frames from Nicole for her birthday; Nicole and Jen are great. Sundai makes every excuse in the book, as she is afraid; she did the same thing at the cliff shoot, and only on her 2nd chance here, is OK. Erin will not go deep into the water, and then whines that she is not getting another chance to shoot, like the other girls. Oh-oh! Something is making me sneeze- Is Tyra’s allergy to complaining models contagious? Now, in review, Sundai has been in the bottom two a lot, but Erin is whining- model mortal sin #1. I, personally, am tired of hearing how wonderful Nicole is- I just do not see it- she is all bones- in the shot jumping off the cliff- you could count her ribs.
In the judging round, Laura and Sundai are OK, except Sundai’s hair extensions are in her face; Jennifer is the standout with a vertical masterpiece of a picture, until Nicole comes along with a picture that some judges think looks like she is dancing- Ms. J. thinks the legs look freaky- thank you,Ms. J., for I think she looks like she is ‘dancing’ if she is a frog- really clutzy… Erin is weak and not recognizable, which Tyra points out is not good in the model world…if they like you enough to hire you they want you to look like the you they hired- duh- that makes sense to me.
I am perplexed- who goes home?
I think Nicole does not win the best- it is Jennifer- Brava! Nicole is next, then Laura, making Sundai and Erin the bottom two. Sundai’s excuses did her in, for Erin, it is her photos getting weaker every week that have landed her here. They face Tyra, eyes tearing and mouths tense, to hear that Sundai is going home. I am sorry as she is so adorable, and has no life to which to return. Farewell, in the literal sense, little lady- we will miss your voice, accessories, humor, charm and beautiful chocolate skin. I think Sundai will find a place for herself. m
