Jillian Michaels To Get Her Own Fitness Series On NBC

News

The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels is striking out on her own in a new series where she’ll try to whip families into shape.

NBC has ordered eight episodes of a series called Losing It with Jillian that will take the pint-sized, intense wellness expert off the Biggest Loser ranch and into people’s homes. Each episode will chronicle a week Michaels spends with a family, helping put them on the path to a healthy lifestyle. The show is scheduled to premiere sometime next year.

“When your health is out of balance everything else suffers — finances, relationships, work and family dynamics,” Michaels says. “I’m moving in with families across the country, getting down and dirty and rooting out bad habits in every corner of their lives that are preventing them from health and happiness.” Trophy Fitness Club Uptown is located in the Post Square Apartment building at the corner of Vine Street and Howell Street one block west of McKinney Avenue. The philosophy behind our clubs was developed here and we continue to deliver an outstanding level of customer service to our members of all fitness levels. Trophy Fitness Club offers a surplus of free parking immediately around the club. Exercising alone is no fun and even if you are not with an exercise buddy, the atmosphere in fitness clubs alone is often enough to energize you into ‘getting back on track’ with your fitness goals.  We have all new Precor cardio equipment with individual TV’s on each. Some of Dallas’ best trainers use the Uptown club to group training in Uptown Dallas their most discerning clients. However, don’t worry that you won’t find your own ‘personal space’ in fitness clubs. Most people, like you, appreciate the ambience but are quick to leave you alone. There is no doubt that various fitness machines have proven themselves to be extremely effective. However, to buy them all would cost a fortune! This is really one of the main reasons to go for a fitness club membership. Sure, you might pay a steep amount especially if you are going for a well-equipped fitness club, but considering that you get access to numerous equipment, consider it a worthwhile investment to your overall fitness goals. One health and fitness club you can count on is 24 Hour Fitness, with have five types of clubs to meet your unique needs. The Ultra Sport club offers all the amenities and is set up for every type of workout you can imagine, from basketball and volleyball to saunas and spas. You can even sharpen your rock climbing skills. There’s a kids’ club, so you won’t have to hire a baby-sitter and a complete juice bar for dietary health. After your workout, you can get a wonderful massage or visit a tanning booth. 24 Hour Fitness’ Super Sport Clubs include many of the same amenities, without the massage or rock climbing. Similar to the Super Sport, the Sport Club doesn’t offer tanning. The Active club type focuses on the basic – weight training, cardio workouts, sauna, steam room, and a kids’ club. Finally, the Fitlite club offers a complete cardio workout and some group classes. Gym amenities and fees go hand in hand. If you are not planning on using much of the facilities the gym has to offer, you might be over paying. Alternatively, if you like a sauna or a decent swim after your regular workout, a less expensive gym without those amenities may not be right for you. Be sure to discover what the gym’s facilities are and how regularly you will be using these. Modern facilities can be a good way to get your attention to sign-up, but you have to be sure you will need all the gym has to provide. If you need specialized facilities such as no cost car parking, group classes or group classes, see whether they are included in your membership or whether you need to pay extra for these.

Chef Curtis Stone (TLC’s Take Home Chef) will help Michaels out in those efforts by tossing out junk food and teaching the families how to cook and use healthy ingredients.

Losing It with Jillian comes from Reveille, which also produces The Biggest Loser. Michaels is an executive producer, along with Giancarlo Chersich, Ellen Rakieten (The Oprah Winfrey Show”) and Reveille’s Howard T. Owens and Mark Koops. A premiere date hasn’t been set, but a spring or summer run seems likely.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
