The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards is in the books and after the dust settled Avatar was the last film standing. The film won Best Picture – Drama and James Cameron also took home a statuette for Best Director, besting the likes of Quentin Tarantino as well as his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker). Mike Tyson and the boys from The Hangover kayoed the competition in the Best Picture – Comedy or Musical race. If that was surprising, Sandra Bullock taking home the Best Actress Drama prize for The Blind Side takes the cake. But then again, this is the Hollywood Foreign Press, and they love their movie stars. Perhaps that is why the hero and villain of Iron Man were recognized for their performances in Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Crazy Heart (Jeff Bridges).
