In a recent interview at PWTorch.com, Eric Bischoff talked positively about his first six weeks in TNA so far.
In an interesting move, Bischoff is targetting the wrestling media, and giving some nuggets that indicate he knows what the internet fans are looking for out of TNA.
Bischoff noted his goal as executive is to create a new star every month. The January star was apparently AJ Styles, on whom Bischoff notes:
A.J. Styles was our first project… His character has more life and become larger than before.
The February push is going to the Pope D’Angelo Dinero, and the March push looks to be for Abyss, who will be teaming with Hulk Hogan against AJ Styles and Ric Flair.
Apparently Bischoff hasn’t minded Vince Russo either, noting
It would be a lie if I said there has been anything negative… If I see red and he sees green, we’ve been able to come as close as possible to resolving it every time.
