The People’s Republic of China was forced to give back their 2000 Bronze Medal in gymnastic’s due to using an underage athlete, the medal will now go to the USA.
Chinese athlete Dong Fangxiao was only 14 at the 2000 Games and since her scores helped win the Bronze medal the IOC decided to change the medal to the US.
Dong was also stripped of her sixth-place result in the individual floor exercises and seventh place in the vault.
