Antonio Margarito defeated Roberto Garcia by unanimous decision in Aguascalientes, Mexico Saturday night. The scores were 100-88, 99-89, and 99-90. Margarito scored a first round knockdown. Garcia had a point taken in the 8th for a headbutt and another point taken in the 10th for a low blow. This was Margarito’s first fight since returning from a one-year suspension after being caught with illegal hand wraps in 2009.
On the undercard, Jorge Solis defeated Mario Santiago by unanimous decision in a super featherweight bout. Urbano Antillon defeated Rene Gonzlaez by unanimous decision in a lightweight bout. Miguel Angel Garcia continues the theme of unanimous decisions as he scored the same over Pedro Navarrete in a super featherweight fight.
