Even a positive PEDs test during the season can’t take an award away from a guy in the NFL.
The Associated Press took a revote on the award and Cushing still received enough votes to win the award despite testing positive for a performance enhancing drug in September, results of which were just release.
In the revote, Cushing received 18 votes, down from the 39 he received in the original balloting. Jairus Bryd remained second, climbing from 6 votes to 13 votes. Clay Matthews received 12 votes the second time, Brian Orakpo 3, and James Laurinatius got 1.
Cushing did lose his spot on the All-Pro Second team.
