NFL News: Dallas Cowboays Receiver Patrick Crayton Demands Release

News

It’s one thing to demand a trade, but Crayton is taking it a step farther and demanding the Cowboys cut him from the roster.

Crayton wants a chance to join another team as soon as possible, but feels the Cowboys are going to hold onto him through training camp as an insurance player, then cut him.

Crayton said the Cowboys are “messing with people’s careers and people’s lives,” in his demand.

Crayton currently would be 4th or 5th on the Cowboys depth chart behind Miles Ausin, Roy Williams, Rookie Dez Bryant, and possibly Kevin Ogletree.

Crayton is due $2 million from the Cowboys this year and he said he doesn’t see the team paying him that to be a 4th string player, so he would just as soon go to another team as quickly as possible to be able to learn the city and the system.
