While talks between the Lions and Suh’s agent aren’t prgressing very quickly, Suh attempted to comfort Lion fan by saying he doesn’t want to holdout.
“I’m not a guy that likes to be a part of drama,” Suh said. “I definitely don’t want to hold out.”
First round picks generally don’t sign before the July 4th weekend when the pressure to get signed before training camp starts to grow.
Suh’s agent, Eugene Parker, said the process of closing a deal with a first-round draft pick takes time and that “when there’s a sense of urgency by both parties, things get done.”
