The firing was reported about an hour before the draft, and the team made it official after the draft.
Pritchard was hired as GM in 2007 with the task of getting the team away from the “Jail Blazers” image. Pritchard had built a promising young team around guard Brandon Roy and Forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
