The UFC and their main British broadcaster ESPN how announced plans to present the ‘Ultimate UFC weekend‘ to tie in with the build up for the long awaited fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. In addition to channel’s coverage of UFC 116, ESPN will be showcasing the best in MMA action from the past year with a five-part series replaying the Fights of the Night from every UFC since UFC 100, with British fans getting another chance such memorable fights as Anderson Silva vs. Forest Griffin and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria vs. Randy Couture. They also be airing a two-part ‘Best of British’ series showcasing homegrown fighters Dan Hardy (vs Mike Swick), Michael Bisping (vs. Dennis Kang), Ross Pearson (vs. Dennis Siver) and John Hathaway (vs. Diego Sanchez). And perhaps most welcome of all, on Thursday 1st July ESPN will for the first time broadcast Lenoard Garcia vs. the Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung; so giving British fans their first chance to watch the consensus fight of the year so far.
