Okay, it was just a few days when we told you that the Chris Jericho DVD release was not going to be nine hours of wrestling matches featuring the evolution of Jericho, from “Lionheart” to “Y2J.” The release is going to have a documentary about the WWE superstar. We thought it was going to be titled Chris Jericho: The Highlight Reel, after its previous title, Chris Jericho: The Best at What I Do, turned out to be wrong. Well, it looks like it may not be called The Highlight Reel after all.
According to WWE DVD News, Jericho has tweeted that My DVD (which comes out Sept 21) is NOT called The Highlight Reel…. So much for that product listing at Amazon.com. At least the product description (found here) seems to be legit.
In other Jericho DVD news, Jericho and Lance Storm have tweeted away and revealed that Jericho’s first match against Storm will be featured on the DVD.
Proving that WWE’s big men need representation on DVD, it looks like they are working to get the Big Show his own release. The timetable of when it would be released is early 2011 (wrestlingpronews.com). The working title is said to be Life of a Giant. Expect plenty of footage from his championship run in WCW to his evolving into the Big Show in WWE.
