At UFC 116, during a PPV attended by pro wrestling personalities ranging from The Rock and Steve Austin to Bill Goldberg, Paul Heyman and a great and healthy-looking JR, former WWE Champ Brock Lesnar defeated Shane Carwin to retain his UFC World Heavyweight Championship. His first title defense since he was very ill (which is why Carwin was considered interim champ), Lesnar won via submission in round two. Lesnar, who usually acts pretty heelish in post-bout interviews, was humble in victory rather than antagonizing the crowd, thanking God, his family and his doctors (he then visited with Heyman, Jim Ross, etc. before he exited to the back).
